Bryophytes are embryophytes that are non-vascular i.e., they have no xylem and phloem. Pteridophyte are vascular plants i.e., plants with xylem and phloem, that reproduce and disperse via spores.

The dominant phase in bryophyte is gametophyte while the dominant phase in pteridophyte is sporophyte. Bryophytes have no true roots while pteridophyte have true roots. Bryophytes have no vascular tissues while pteridophytes have vascular tissues.

Bryophytes has no true root, stem and leaves while pteridophytes has true roots, stems and leaves.

Bryophytes has no vascular tissue while pteridophytes has simple vascular tissue.

In bryophytes, dominant generation is gametophyte while in pteridophytes, sporophyte generation is dominant.

In bryophytes, sporophyte depends on gametophyte for water and nutrients while in pteridophytes, both gametophyte and sporophyte are independent to each other
